What the fuck is wrong with me?! Why do I miss TRON so much?! I was browsing thru Kate's albums and found these 3 pictures that I didn't even know existed.. I fuckin' cried! I'm such a baby everytime I see or think about TRON. I love the team sooo much and even though it's been quite sometime since I left, I still can't get over it! Am I the only one?! I Miss TRON Mode.. Again!

The past couple of days, I've spent my free time here in the office revisiting old websites. I dunno how Ryan and I got into talking about online games yesterday but I found myself google-ing hapland and started playing. I almost didn't remember to do the same today but I got into the "I miss TRON" mode again, thanks to Ash. IT blocked the non-work-related sites but being the TRONies that we were, we always had proxies to share to the team. I still can't help but smile thinking about the thrill of discovering a new move for hapland then adding it unto the sequence that somebody had previously solved, the groans when making the wrong move for the leap frog game, the excitement of beating the timer for the multipopword and making sure we finish giving TS steps before the next game begins and the complaints of blurry vision because of too much stereograms. Then there were the Jabber trivias where replies were nanoseconds apart. Taking your eyes off the conference room would make you feel like a lost puppy in the forest by the time you get back. We hated long hold times but we would always be glad to be on hold for as long as possible when the trivia moderator says he/she's ready. And who would forget chat convos that goes like this: cat tool low boat moo (katol lubot mo), boy sit (bwisit), pest tea (pisti), lychee (leche). Hahay. Those were the days.

Lo and Behold

American Idol Season 7's third stop is San Diego, CA. The featured hopefuls were surprisingly good. I can't wait to watch them on stage! Here are those who stood out. I love love love the guy who auditioned with his cutie son!

TRON days are over. I've been out of the team for 6 months now but in my heart, I still am a TRONie. So sad.. Check this out..

Punk'd!

This was my former officemate, ex-TRONie like me, Aubrey's blog. I called her earlier to source out names [hint: her hubby] and companies that I can probably contact. They're based in Atlanta, GA. I pretended to be a recruiter who saw her profile online and I asked her if it's true that she was a call girl - Ryan [the officemate] suggested agogo [a go go] dancer but I thought that was just so Pinoy. There was a slight pause and then she went off and corrected me saying she previously worked in a call center [obviously irritated]. I couldn't hold it any longer so I laughed and broke my bluff. It's still the same old shriek only Aubrey can pull off.. or maybe Cindy too. It's good to keep in touch with old friends. However, this time she got punk'd! LOL.

I Miss TRON!!!

I had blogged about my previous team TRON and how hard it was for me to leave 'em. Lately, I've been overwhelmed with the thought that a lot of 'em remember me and I've been receiving text messages inviting me to coffee or whatever. Last Saturday, Ryan [the officemate] and I was invited to TRON's Christmas Party at Zone360, a bar co-owned by a fellow Ilonggo who I worked with at PeopleSupport. The feeling of familiarity and again being with the people I had gone thru a lot with was amazing, even if it was just for a night. I've missed the fun we had. It was definitely a night I will remember for as long as I live. Pardon my being emotional. It's just that despite the fact that I'm now comfortable being at this new company and the friends I made here, three years is three years. Click on the picture for more pix. Here's a link to April, Candz and Katie's uploads.

I decided to have a body massage after the party and I wish I didn't. Twenty eight hours of no sleep, 3 shots of tequilla and a bad headache plus hard massage = sleep and snore. It was sooo embarassing! Anyway, woke up at about 9am on Sunday and spent the whole afternoon until midnight at Ryan's [the bestie] house in Lapu2x playing Tekken. Earlier today, I went to SM to do some christmas shopping with Ryan and Talia.. I wasn't able to buy anything 'coz the line at every counter was long and I don't like the idea of carrying a lot of things when I travel. I'm a lazy person in case I haven't mentioned that. I think it would be a better idea to just bring my family to SM-Bacolod [which I haven't been to since it was still unfinished last February], that way I don't have to worry that they might not like what I'm gonna get them.

Then and Now

Then. I spent the first 3 years of my professional career as a call center agent and I was only able to sort of share my life with a few. Unfortunately, my congeniality can't cover all 800 plus employees. My previous team was called TRON, we're the Gods of Dirt as we always say.. the last line of defense for technical support. I have always been proud of how united we were. One of us even said in his farewell email that the team is a juggernaut, 'coz we surpassed all the dramas and delivered way beyond expectations. It was really hard for me to finally leave [I thought about quitting a lot of times] although it's for a better opportunity, because of emotional attachment. I could have stayed longer, however, I realized that no matter how I love being with the people I work with, it wouldn't suffice the need for career growth. I wouldn't go into ranting since I gave it all away with my clearance form and exit interview [I tell you, my interviewer had a mouthful]. Besides, I realized at 24 I should start thinking about my future. Being the sentimental fool that I am, I still feel sad whenever I think of all the fun I had with TRON. Click on the pictures below and you'll understand why..

Now. Moving to a start-up company gave me the opportunity to work with a small group and get the chance to get to know them really well. From cleaning the office, setting up the PC's, to emergency meetings and "eviction day and night" hehehehe. The reason why I'm very particular with office relationships is that it's always better to work with people you're comfortable with. All work and no play makes you boring, cliché but true. I personally, can work at best when I know that the person sitting next to me is someone who I can invite for a fun Saturday night out or keep me company at a coffee shop on a boring Sunday afternoon.. someone to hang out with whenever I feel that the work pressure is getting on my nerves [which happens once in awhile]. With less than 30 employees, communication is never a problem and it's easy to plan out activities that involves everybody like the one you'll see below. No worries for what the management or the other departments will say. One of our main objective when we started out was to make sure we jell and with activities like this one, it wasn't long before we achivieved oneness. Click on the picture for our..
