You Don't Mess With The..

He's got a new movie!!! OMG!!! I can't wait! I've been totally behind the movie watching scene. The last movie I've seen was Atonement, which was really good if not for the stupid people sitting in front of us. They kept on complaining about how boring the movie was and that the story wasn't good. Yeah, it wasn't for you because you can't appreciate art you morons! I really liked Saoirse Ronan, I've first seen here in I Could Never Be Your Woman. It's pretty amazing how she can speak fluently in both american and british accent at such a young age - she'll be 14 on April 12. She's Irish.

I'm still waiting for the Sex And The City Movie to be released in the US on May 30. For now, enjoy this trailer of Adam Sandler's new movie.. YOU DON'T MESS WITH THE ZOHAN!

The Game Plan

IMDb: An NFL quarterback living the bachelor lifestyle discovers that he has a 8-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

Another movie off my must-see list. Ryan [the officemate] and I had a bottle of SML after the meeting at our CEO's house earlier, err yesterday and I got home at around 11:30am. I was tired and sleepy but since I was really eager to watch it, I forced myself to wake up at 3pm. Met Ryan [my bestie] at SM but the first two hours was spent looking for a wireless router for their pharmacy in Bohol. Anyway, back to the movie.. it was sort of like Big Daddy [starring my one true love Adam Sandler]. It's about a man learning how to handle responsibility because he was forced to and eventually loving it. I can't help but wonder, did my dad feel the same way when he learned that my mom was pregnant with me? They got married May, 1983.. I was born August of the same year so go figure. Mama would always tell me Papa was a spoiled/semi-wealthy "chick boy" [ugh! so Filipino!] when he was younger but he started with FGU [now BPI/MS - where I had my OJT] that same year. So probably knowing he'd be raising a child pushed him to look for a job. I currently have a challenging and good-paying job, I'm helping my parents send my two younger siblings to school [private and expensive, aaarrrggghhh!] and I'm here in Cebu without a close family relative to look after me.. I wonder what having a child or getting pregnant would do to make me more responsible than I already am. Well, I guess I'll burn the bridge when I get there.

Ha! I didn't expect it to look this cool. This was taken yesterday morning. How I was able to capture this without the wires from street lamps, the house roofs and the moist from the glass window, I dunno. But I still think it's pretty [pretty amateur!]. If you don't agree with me, I-DON'T-CARE! LOL.

I'm In Love!

Aside from being in-love with Adam Sandler, I'm also in-love with dolphins. There's just something about them that makes me want to jump and giggle like a lunatic whenever I see pictures or videos like this one, which I stumbled upon while looking for a new theme for my multiply account. I don't even know when this fascination started. Some of my friends would tell me they saw a necklace or whatever with a dolphin design thinking I might want to buy it. So that pretty much tells you that I have an obsession 'coz they know exactly what I'd do - buy [that is, if I have a few bucks to spare]. A good friend even gave me a lighter and a key chain. Funny how I claim to love something yet I don't know much about it. I know that dolphins sometimes mate with the same sex and I can only name one kind or type or whatever, the bottle-nosed dolphin. I'm not interested in studying them anyway, I just love watching them. Seeing them for real is something I look forward to whenever I travel to go home in Bacolod. I'm too embarassed to admit that I'm hoping I'd get a glimpse of them whenever somebody would ask why I opt to stay in the economy class so I just tell them I smoke a lot [which is also true]. I'd know when they're near once I hear random splashes and I don't care if I look like an idiot since I travel alone most of the time. The feeling is inexplicable. I've always dreamed of becoming very wealthy, get a house with a pool, big enough to provide a shelter and a playground to even just one dolphin so I could swim and play with it anytime I want. However, I learned that they love to swim in groups. They say no man is an island --- humans are animals --- therefore no animal is an island [I don't really know what I'm trying to point out]. But most importantly, I don't want to subject an innocent animal to celibacy.

Anyway, enough of that. I'm bored. That's the reason why I chose this lame topic to blog about. Today I'll get my last pay with PS and I doubt the figure would justify my 3-year service to the company. Here in the Philippines, 3 years in a call center is already a milestone. I don't mind though, money is money. Yawn. Since I'm in-love with Adam Sandler and dolphins and nevermind.. I think the only thing that's missing in my life right now is sleep. All I can think of is my bed, my pillows, and my stuffed toys - Taz and Clyde the dolphin. I can't wait for the shift to be over. Gotta go, I need to have my nicotine intake now or I'll pass out before the daily wrap-up meeting which is still a couple of hours away. Yawn.

Chuck & Larry

IMDb: Two straight, single Brooklyn firefighters (Sandler, James) pretend to be a gay couple in order to receive domestic partner benefits.

The movie is hilarious. I've been an Adam Sandler fan since I first saw him on The Wedding Singer singing Grow Old With You, That's All and Somebody Kill Me Please. His bad-ass humor tickles every bone in my body. His cuteness drives me crazy! Anyway, this movie reminded me of my gay bestfriend, Joedel. We've been friends since we were kids. My granny's house is a couple of blocks away from theirs and even then I knew he was gay. Granny told me I came home crying one day saying Joedel's gay and she scolded me for claiming such at a very young age and she said I told her Joedel was playing with "chinese garter" and dolls. I was crying because he was mean, and he still is. I'd go out of the house feeling good about myself and he'd be his usual critic self, bursting my bubbles. We've had our share of petty fights. So petty that we'd just laugh about it now. We weren't on speaking terms for 2 years back in high school and got back together during a play when his sarong fell off seconds before he was supposed to hit the stage and I had to help him. Whenever we'd talk about it, he'd always dodge 'coz he doesn't know why he suddenly had the urge not to talk to me.

The movie made me realize that for friends like Joedel, who stood by me thru all my dramas.. I'd go as far as pretending just to save his ass from whatever. I hope it wouldn't go as far as pretending to be his wife or gf or anything with romance. Imagine having to kiss him in public, ugh! Disgusting! Just like the old sarcastic saying - A good friend will bail you out of jail, but a best friend will be in the next cell saying "that was f*cking awesome!" Like Chuck and Larry. You gotta see the shower scene with the black "guy" singing I'm Every Woman, LOL. Two thumbs up!
